Havering Changing are delighted to announce that Lucy McDonald is their new Creative in Residence for Collier Row!
Over the coming months, Lucy will be working closely with residents to implement the brilliant creative proposal that impressed our Romford steering group so much.
Skill Share Socials launched last week at the North Romford Community Association, where Lucy was joined by our Area Worker Julia to chat to local residents about their skills and talents, and what more they’d like to learn.
Lucy said “There is so much hidden talent in Collier Row! People always say that they are not creative but once you get talking you find out they can do all kinds of things – wood work, acting, sewing, drawing, you name it! We are looking forward to running the Skill Share Socials, where people can come along and share their skills with others whilst having a go at something they have always wanted to try.”
Lucy and Julia will be back in at the community centre in Clockhouse Lane on Wednesday 1st March between 9.30am-1.30pm, so come along and have a cuppa and a chat. Alternatively, you can email your thoughts and ideas to hello@haveringchanging.org
