SUMMARY:Electronics skillshare - Havering\, Hornchurch
DESCRIPTION:This event is a skillshare\, where we will be learning new skills together. We won’t be repairing broken items. You must book a ticket to attend as there is limited space. \n\nRestart Parties are pop-up events where we take action to prevent e-waste by helping people fix their own electronics. We rely on volunteers to help make this magic happen. \nDo you have some basic fixing skills that you’d like to develop? Together we will be learning how to repair the most common items brought into community repair events. \nThese sessions are completely free\, all we ask is that you attend your next local repair event as a volunteer. \n\nThe Restart Project and East London Waste Authority are running a series of skillshares for electronic repairers of all skill levels. The fourth and final session is on: \nWednesday 13th March 2025 6:00-8:30pm \nFairkytes Arts Centre\, Billet Ln\, Hornchurch RM11 1AX \nThis skillshare is designed for those who would like to start volunteering their skills at repair events but don’t know where to start. \nYou will be working in groups to troubleshoot and repair the most common electrical and electronic items brought to repair events\, with the support of Restarters who will be on hand to help you when you get stuck. \nThese sessions are completely free\, all we ask is that you attend your next local repair event as a volunteer. \nPriority for this event will be given to Havering residents and those who haven’t attended a session before. So if you’re not from Havering or you’ve been to one of these already and the event gets sold out we may need to cancel your place. \nAny questions please email london@therestartproject.org
