About the opportunity

Havering Volunteer Centre are embarking on a new adventure and opening a Tea Bar situated in the Magistrates Court in Main Road, Romford.

Our Tea Bar Helpers will be at the heart of providing refreshments to visitors and court staff, serving hot beverages, cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and light refreshments.

The role will also consist of preparing freshly made sandwiches/rolls.

What are they looking for?

We are looking for friendly individuals with a welcoming disposition, who ideally likes to be in a hospitality environment.

Helpers will need to have cash handling abilities and either be confident in mathematics or the ability to use a calculator.

Practical Considerations

The Tea Bar will be in operation Monday – Thursday 10.00am – 3.00pm

We are looking for our helpers to cover periods such as:

9.30am-12.30pm & 12.30pm-3.30pm

but helpers are also able to cover full days 9.30am-3.30pm if desired.

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required – Havering Volunteer Centre will provide an online course that can be completed in 2-4 hours.
