Business Development and Fundraising Manager

Salary: 
 £ 32,000 per annum pro rata
Hours: 18 hours per week

We are looking for a Business Development and Fundraising Manager to take the lead within the Senior Management team on identifying new business initiatives for existing and new services within the geographical territory of Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and Havering. The post holder will lead on the design and creation of new business opportunities from conception to implementation. The post holder will lead and participate in fundraising and income generation identifying potential sources of funding, applying for funding and preparing tenders for services.

We are looking for a candidate with a successful track record of financial achievement in fundraising meeting income targets and experience in creating and managing budgets. The post holder will have experience of operating at a strategic level and supporting the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation processes.

The candidate should have an interest and commitment to supporting older people’s wellbeing, improved quality of life and resilience as well as excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and creatively, both verbally and in writing.


Senior Manager Engagement and Day Opportunities
Salary:  £30,000 per annum pro rata
Hours: 30 hours per week

We are looking for a Senior Manager (Engagement and Day Opportunities) to manage and develop a range of Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering services that are responsive to the needs of older people living across the three boroughs. The post holder will be leading on our Engagement and Day Opportunities Services including  Befriending, Falls Prevention, Voices of Experience, Wanstead Activity Centre and Di’s Diamonds Services. The post holder will take lead responsibility for H&S policies and procedures implementation and review. The person will also lead on internal and external communications including social media, website communications.

We are looking for someone with  experience of working either in care, social work, voluntary sector or similar setting and have a good understanding of the needs of older people living in multi-cultural areas and the need to consult with and involve them in the development of services. Knowledge of Health and Social Care services and the ability to liaise effectively and work in partnership with senior staff in the statutory sector will also be required. The post holder will need experience of managing staff and/or volunteers and ability to manage staff performance e.g. goal setting, performance review etc. Good computer skills and accurate record keeping are also required.


Care Navigation Team Leader 

Salary: 
 £ 24,885 per annum pro rata
Hours: 18 hours per week

We are looking for a Team Leader to help us set up a new Care Navigation service across Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and Havering establishing links with key professionals in the three boroughs to establish referral pathways.  The post holder will be leading our Care Navigation team providing support to people with multiple long-term conditions, end of life patients and vulnerable isolated older people to achieve the best possible quality of life and independence by enabling them to have maximum support at home, encourage taking up activities, volunteering or increasing social interaction, enabling choices and access to services in the community.

Successful applicants will have experience of working with older people or people with multiple long term conditions in health, social care, voluntary or independent sector, in a paid or voluntary capacity. Team leadership and line management experience are required. The post holder will need to be excellent communicator, able to work effectively both one to one and as part of a team as well as supporting and motivating volunteers. Good computer skills and accurate record keeping are also required.


Activities Development Coordinator 

Salary: 
 £ 22,765 per annum pro rata
Hours: 21 hours per week

We are looking for an Activities Development Coordinator (job share for 21hrs per week) for our Di’s Diamonds Service facilitating social, cultural and leisure activities for older people across Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and Havering. The post holder will have a significant role in reducing social isolation through developing activities and events, including volunteering opportunities and promoting these to older people.

The post holder will liaise with professionals from statutory and voluntary sector within the three Boroughs to promote the service and develop opportunities for joint activities. They will ensure members receive information about forthcoming activities and events, including the monthly calendar, using a variety of media to contact them, assisted by volunteers. The post holder will be expected to widen the membership through promotional activity and liaison with other service providers.

We are looking for a candidate with ability to initiate, develop and support volunteer projects including: recruitment, selection and initial training of volunteers, liaise with existing management staff to ensure on-going volunteer supervision, management and training. The post holder will have an understanding of the needs of older people including those who are particularly isolated and vulnerable. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and creatively, both verbally and in writing are required as well as an interest and commitment to supporting older people’s wellbeing, improved quality of life and resilience. Good computer skills and accurate record keeping are also required.
